The Butterfly Jam-Band plays a wide variety of contemporary. classic, and original favorites. Available to play at gatherings from weddings and parties, to live music clubs and special events.
Meet the group:
Katrina Kadoski - Vocals, guitar, banjo, keyboard.
Katrina's musical background extends to childhood when she started winning voice competitions and scholarships as early as age 6. Over the years she has studied classical, jazz, pop, and musical theatre formats for voice training. She also studied folk, blues, rock, jazz and classical guitar styles. A songwriter as well, Katrina has written hundreds of her own songs and is also known for her beautiful interpretations of familiar favorites. She currently teaches voice and guitar at Freedom Arts Music in Sooke, BC.
George Bence - Vocals, Guitar
Growing up in Hawaii, George became drawn to music and surfing very early in life. With his beautiful crooning voice he is a charming and seasoned performer. George is also a versatile rhythm guitarist, adding hawaiian and latin grooves.
As a solo performer and with ensembles George has been performing professionally for over 25 years.
Raphael Richard - Lead Guitar
Raphael has been studying and playing guitar since he was in his early teens. Sensing he was musical from an early age his mother would take him to performances of all kinds but mostly those with strong jazz and blues influences. From this he began to develop his finger style guitar playing which is rich, heartfelt, and moving. He also rebuilds and makes guitars and suitcase amplifiers.
Eric James - Bass and Vocals.
Eric has played music for many years with a number of different ensembles. He also plays in a duo with his beautiful wife Linda.His main instrument is bass,however he also sings and plays guitar. His classic rock style of playing is strong and fun. Eric is a seasoned professional and has a great time playing music.
Mike Hartman - Drums
Playing all styles of music, Mike has been honing his excellent rhythm skills in many groups over the years, from classical to classic rock. He is the newest member to the Butterfly Jam-band and we are certainly glad to have him aboard.
